Pastor Dennis Office Hours- Come on by to talk or pray about anything, everything, or nothing in particular. Monday 9:00 am – noon Ames Chapel Tuesday 9:00 am – noon Mt. Lebanon Coffee with the Pastor- Let’s talk over a hot cup of java. Thursday 8:30 am – 10:00 Bagel Bistro in West Baden I will do my best to be available at these times, but if it’s really important, it’s probably best to text or call me to be sure no emergencies or meetings have called me away. Pastor’s Sabbath Day is Friday
We had a surprise visitor today at church. Pastor Dennis Adams and his wife Barbara came by to worship with us today. Pastor Adam's will be the new full time pastor to the 4 methodist churches that make up the Springs Valley United Methodist Parish. His first official Sunday will be July 14. We will have a combined service with all the churches gathering at Mt. Lebanon at 10:30. There will be a pitch in following the service. Everyone is welcome. Come meet our new pastor and his wife!

Hello friends Please pray for my mom right now. She has been emitted into U of L due to low levels of nutrients. They have said that they are going to treat this day by day so we are not for sure how long we’re looking at being there. They still though will keep doing her treatments from there as well. God is still good but keep us in your prayers. Blessings!

A NOTE FROM Pastor Finney, Good morning church family and greetings in the name of Jesus Christ This coming Sunday, March 31st The Cooperative Parish will be holding a joint worship service at the Springs Valley United Methodist Church located on Maple Street in French Lick, the worship time is 10:30 a.m. Following the worship service will be a pitch in dinner. Rev Dr. Deborah Cronin who has been working with the Cooperative Parish staff Parish committee will be the keynote speaker for the worship service. Dr. Cronin has impressive credentials. She is a former conference staff person, a former district superintendent in two annual conferences, and has extensive experience in church development. Dr. Cronin has worked with small membership churches throughout her ministerial career. It is a blessing to have Dr. Cronin working with us and sharing in this joint worship service. I believe that the congregations of the valley are entering into an exciting time of ministry. With the announcement of Rev Dennis Adams as your new pastor, The Cooperative work of Ames Chapel, West Baden, Springs Valley, and Mount Lebanon will indeed impact our community. Your support of this combined worship service is valued and important. Following the worship service, there will be a pitch in dinner. Fried Chicken will be supplied. Join us this Sunday for the first, 5th Sunday Cooperative Parish combined service and pitch in meal. West Baden, Mt. Lebanon, and Ames Chapel will meet together at Springs Valley UMC for service at 10:30 and a pitch in lunch afterwards. Everyone is welcome!

Yesterday we lost one of our long time members and a pillar in the community, John Aylsworth. So much has already been said about John on his and Patti's facebook pages and there is little more that I can add, but we will truly miss this Godly man and the talents, friendship and wisdom he shared with all who came in contact with him. The visitation is set for Saturday, Dec 22nd from 10 - 8 pm a the Springs Valley High School Auditorium and the funeral ceremony will be at 2 pm, Sunday Dec. 23 at the Springs Valley High School Gymnasium. There will be no visitation prior to the service.

Thanksgiving Meal at Ames Chapel! What a blessing!

I know I am running a little behind with these pictures, but here is what was happing at the Springs Valley UMC on Halloween Night. It was Trunk or Treating with the Cooperative Parish of Springs Valley, Mt. Lebanon, West Baden, and Ames Chaple UMC's. It was a little drizzly outside, so there was only one brave soul who stood in the rain, but the rest had a nice set up inside and they had lots of visitors.
Dear Friends, As some of you have heard, we lost a dear friend and church member last week. Marcia Killough was a wonderful, sweet, caring lady who loved Jesus, nature and her friends and family. We will have a service for her at the church on Monday, Nov. 5th at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the South Liberty Cemetery (West County Road 575 South/ Baseline Rd) just south of French Lick. There will be a meal afterwards at the church. We were unable to get this information into the local newspapers in time, so if you were a friend of Marcia's and you know others that would like to know about this service, please pass this information on.
I wanted to let you know that tomorrow Aug. 12th will be our minister's last day with us. Ralph will be pastoring a couple of churches down by Leavenworth. We have not been informed about who will be taking his place. We do pray that Pastor Ralph will find this change rewarding and his new congregation appreciative of his many talents.
Come join us for church services at 10:35 on Nov. 19th and then enjoy a Thanksgiving meal afterward in our Fellowship Hall. We would love to see you here!
